Moving the conservatory frames

Today we removed the scaffolding on part of the East side in preparation for erecting the massive oak frames of the conservatory.

With heavy rain forecast for Sunday and the telehandler leaving on Saturday, we decided to remove the frames from the barn and get them as close to the house as possible pending return of the crane on Monday.

The two smaller frames needed to be moved first and will be linked together in situ once the larger frame is up.

The largest frame which abuts the house proved more difficult but thanks to Paul's skill in the Merlo and Steve's careful locating of the strapping, it was eventually manoeuvred past the house ready for the top section to be added before being lifted into place on Monday.
